Classy as fuck.
I'm pretty sure that's perforated leather around the center screen. Interesting.
Looking at other interior pictures, you can get all sorts of combinations of wood and metal.
Okay, last CT6 post for today.

I like that first picture a lot.

For the life of me I will never understand why wood is considered a luxury item. looks silly. What's next, wood accent spokes on the wheels?

If anyone thinks the exterior is a letdown, I think this interior certainly makes up for it

Because wood tends to be more expensive than plastic?

Probably something to do with how it was used in coach built cars in the early days of the automobile or something like that. I'm more of an aluminum or other metal person myself, but I don't mind wood if it looks good.

This looks like a touchpad.

That's because it is a touch pad.

As do I.

Because material cost = luxuriousness? I suppose accents made of Ivory or SOLID GOLD would really get you going then..
Lets make accents out of stainless, or mother of pearl, new and interesting composites. let a master engraver go wild, put value-added into basic materials and make workmanship the focus of your design.
Wood is boring, old, and an inherently silly material for a modern vehicle.

Veneer? I'd assume it'd be real wood.

Engraved metal is where it is at.

Sort of, yeah...

Gold adds weight. Weight is worse than plastic wood.
Ivory kills elephants :(

THEY FINALLY PAID ATTENTION TO THE DASHBOARD!!!

I thought veneer was thin pieces of wood?

That steering wheel looks awful to me. Almost as bad as the new S-Class wheel.

Nothing, and I repeat nothing can be as bad as the S-Class wheel.

Veneer is thin pieces of nice expensive wood layered on top of shit. They do it to save money over solid blocks of expensive stuff. This price it'd better be real.

This is an awesome complement to the fantastic-looking exterior. Not sure about the steering wheel but, otherwise, it looks great.

Hey, it could be that ugly steering wheel in the S-Class.

Good point there. That thing is terrible.

Looks like Cadillac finally addressed the quality issue with their interior I love it.

I don't see that at all. Nowhere does that interior look like an Impalas.

Look past the details. The general lines follow the same pattern. And I don't mean in a "that Mustang looks like an Accord Coupe" kind of way. The major ones dip and recess in all of of the same places and with angles that are so similar that it makes no difference. Look particularly at the center stack area from askew. The placement of control functions is the same, if of a different physical paradigm. The wheel is that awful 4-spoke affair instead of the more attractive 3-spoke in the CTS, and its airbag cover is clearly the same shape as the Impala's.
Note, I'm not saying the interior is bad, but the wheel immediately screamed "Impala" and so I looked it up and found that it wasn't the only thing Impala-like.

The wheel I can kinda see. Other than that, nothing is really similar. Having gotten very up close and personal with the impala interior, I can say that the dash is a very curvy and fluid affair in person. The CT6 looks more straightedged with a little curve on the passenger side. I guess the screen over HVAC controls are similar, but they sit way lower in the CT6.
